In this episode, Dane, Andrew, and occasional co-host Joel Cochran talk to Brady Gaster, from Sammamish, WA (formerly from Charlotte, NC until being hired by Microsoft as a Windows Azure Technical Evangelist. Brady and the crew talk about comic book movies, food, oh, and some technology, too, including Brady’s love affair with SignalR, his work on upcoming Web Camp events, Azure Service Bus, releasing the magic smoke from a robot, and more.
Brady Gaster is a Christian father of 2 boys, a husband to 1 amazing woman, and owns at least 4 guitars. Brady is a Windows Azure Technical Evangelist with Microsoft who focuses on what it means to the web developer to be "in the cloud," and hosts the Channel 9 Web Camps TV show. His core competencies include middleware development, cloud computing, TDD, service orientation, and continuous integration. His most recent computing-related distractions include Windows Azure, SignalR, Fluent programming principles, aspect-oriented programming, and Behavior Driven Development. When feeling brave, he tinkers with robotics and custom musical instruments but maintains his ignorance with electronics through numerous small-instrument fires and exploding speakers.
